why would you make a new thread? if you're the person who started a thread, you can always change the title of it to attract more attention...

That's just as useless as some of Joey's posts. It's been said before. Post Count doesn't matter, it's the post quality that does.
Joey, are you judging this solely on votes, or giving so many points on vote count, then having people judge? Maybe you could give 3 points for highest votes, 2 for second highest, and 1 for 3rd highest, then have 3 judges (fellow AFs who haven't entered and myself (or you in this case) is what I would do) rank them in the same way. Whomever has the most points would be my winner.

ok, each person gives 3 votes, each vote counts the same, no matter weather u put steves supra as the first vote or last vote, he still gets one point for that vote

I know that, but you can have favorites being played with people voting. I was just thinking that adding judges to it would be more fair. Just an idea I was throwing out. It's your competition.

Dont you mean sped not spud. No offense Supratuner!
Well how many different threads were made about the model of the year contest? If he posted the results in the old thread no one one know about it and would'nt go into the thread because odds are they already read it! Its a simple concept.

its looking like this could end up being a tie >?!.
if so i may decide to do some type of judging, getting 3 people off of here that havent entered the contest, going on their decision, it will decide the winner,
this will only happend if there is a tie

Supratuner, seeing as how you make the rules, would it be considered cheating if you ask people to vote for you, or vote for yourself through your friends computer or a relatives computer? You can probably do it without people knowing but what would you think if someone was doin that?...

IF YOU ARE ASKING FOR VOTES I SEE THAT AS OK, AS LONG AS YOU AENT PAYING OR OFFERING SOME THING FOR THE VOTE
about the family thing, id have to say it is ok if relatives vote
i have had several "iffy" emails and votes and i will say that they have been counted, but in the end they might not, SO NO MATTER WHAT THE CURRENT VOTE SAYS, ITS NOT FINAL, OR OFFICIAL
IF SOME ONE HAS BEED OFFERING MONEY OR SOME THING FOR A VOTE, TELL ME

NO no no, not offereing money, but rather going to a relatives/friends house and voting for your self. Take a look at the points, and take a look at the cars...

Contest's like these comes down to how honest a person is...The PMan has no time for CHEATERS
This is why i liked the way the AF 2002 contest was run. It was only open to AF member's and those joined before a certain date. It stopped all the crap voting etc of friends etc etc

I don't accept that kind of voting in my contest and colecting votes.
I had expiriences that voted people who don't know anything about modeling and they voted only because friends told them that they are in contest. Some send votes from all their family, too.
And some of them EVEN tried to influence on judges.
Most fair votes are the ones who see that other models are better than their and vote for them and not for yours.

Before someone start to think that I talk about him or point finger to someone, I want to tell that I just said how are my rules in my contest and which expiriences I had in past.
My answer isn't pointed to anyone.
Sometimes my English can be very difficult.

lets not start a flame war here. I don't support asking family members to vote for you. I don't even tell my family and friends (for the most part) that I'm in a contest. If I win, great. They'll find out then. I consider having family vote for you cheating. Then it becomes a popularity contest. I also like the way that the AF Contest was run, along with hrmodeler's contests. I think they are well regulated and have simple, but great rules that make the contest fair.

ive seen a lot of great ideas and views on here, but this is my first contest and ive seen several things that will not be permitted in my next contest, i plan on another one in in late may or early june, but it will not have a prize such as this one does
