Door hinge pins

Well, I have the new parts in hand. Now all I need to do is figure out how to get the old pins out and the new pins in. Does anybody know how to perform a hinge pin replacement on a 1995 Century driver's side door? How do I get the spring out without shooting it into my eye? How do I get the spring back in once the work is finished? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
