Input turbine speed sensor

Can anyone tell me if the input turbine speed sensor for 96 Oldsmobile Aurora is internal to the transmission or external.

I recall the input turbine speed sensor is technically internal on the 4T80E tranny. Definitely not located outside like the vehicle speed sensor (VSS) or easy to replace. It is mounted next to a gear off the input shaft which is behind the torque convertor.
