i have a 2000 astro with 113,000 miles i have replaced fuel pump, filter, new plugs wires distributor cap and rotor. i checked fuel pressure and have all the right numbers as far as i can tell from posts i have read. my problem started a few weeks ago when the van hesitated like it wasnt getting fuel when pulling out on higway while still a little cold. it then tryed to die completely. it then cleared up and didn't act up all day. i put dry gass and filled tank up cause it only had a 1/4 tank i thought moisture in gass was problem. well next morning it wouldn't start at all. after setting all day it started hard that eveneng. i then bought a new fuel filter and drove it for a few days. it then tried to die on me going up a hill after van was warm and it didn't completely quit then ran fine. i then changed fuel pump and put new wires and plugs and dist cap and rotor and hoped it was ok. i checked fuel pressure and it looked on the low side on old pump and that is why i changed it. well after i did all this it hasn't died at all but it has a slight miss when first accelerating cold and i don't know where to look now. please help!!!

the tps sensor maybe? I had some problems similar to what you stated and it turned out it was the throttle position sensor. Im no expert though so don't quote me:icon16: good luck though

Scan the PCM for misfire history. If there is history on a specific cylinder (s), that may indicate a localized problem. If there is only a general misfire history (all cylinders) it may be a general problem, like fuel delivery, ignition, primary power, coil failures, etc.

What brand of wires, cap, rotor, plugs and pump did you use? What is the fuel pressure and does it hold after the pump shuts off?

the plugs are ac delco platinum. wires and dis and cap are a/c delco also i think. fuel pump is aftermarket from napa. fuel pressure is 62 with key on and then it drops to 58 after pump kicks off it holds for at least 5 min after key is off. the old pump that i replaced would pump to about 61 then drop off to 54 and then within a minute start droping slowly down. i thought the new pump might have been the ticket and it hasn't been cutting clear out anymore but it does miss a little when i first take off in morning and then runs fine.

Do you have a scan tool available to you that is capable of watching each individual sensor?
