ok so i have a 306 in my 1986 mustang right now, i havent gottten it dynod yet but will soon. I just baougt a pro charger P 600 B moddel, its air to air intercooled and set up for 6psi right now. i have the stock fuel pump and 19lb fuel injectors to, first would i be able to hook it up with the stock stuff and run the 6lb of boost and not destroy my engine, if not i was thinking of getting the A1000 fuel pump, and im not sure what size injectors i will need i was thinking 30lb do u think that will be enough. thanks.

I say go to 42's for the injectors, because your gonna wanna turn it up. If you go with the A1000 you may as well go ahead and upgrade your fuel lines, regulator, and rails.

a nother question, it comes with a FMU, i have a bbk adjustable fuel regulator that incresses pressure if boost is added, so do i need the FMU that is what a fmu is right it just incresses fuel pres. in coalition to boost.

42 to me are too big, I would not go over 36lbs, and you still have room to grow. 36ers can go up to 500hp easy :)

Carb with a Procharger?

I had 30s on my S-trim at 10lbs of boost, so 30s will work for what you want.

yeah eventully i would like to go carb, its cheaper and easer to tune.

update: ok ive hook the procharger up and every thing, i got 30lb injectors the stock fuel rails a bbk fuel regulator and 8an braided lines front to back with a a1000 fuel pump a msd 6+++ digital ignition, My new question is i dont have mass air, will i be able to get away with starting it and running it with 6lb of boost and no tune, I dont want to start it up and blow up my engine u know. If i can what do u think my base timeing should be at and fuel presser. The reason i ask is i dont have a trailer and the dyno\tune is one and half hrs away from me so im going to have to drive there do u think ill be able to drive it with no tune. Or should i just not hook up the supercharger and drive there and let them hook it up to tune it. thanks

What the heck are you thinking?

You just can't put 30lbs injectors in the engine, and not be able to meter them? The SD cannot do that.

Your not going to boost unless you have it loaded.

The car will not start unless you put back the stock injectors. You can run the blower belt, that is fine, like I said it will not boost unless you load the engine. But, how are they going to adjust your SD ECU when you get the car there? Have you talked to dyno shop?

If you can do that to an SD on SBF, that is news to me.

so im going to have to take it to them then is what i am saying. how hard would it be to change to mass air flow, all i need is the mass air flow meter and the computer right.

No, your going to need a little more than that. Like I said before, go to the corral.net, and look at the tech articles, they have a write up on the conversion, do you remember me telling you that?:grinyes:

With the SD set-up? You learn something new every day:)

Yes, that is not bad. You spend more than that just getting the Mass Air set-up, then you would have to tune that.

he also said if i were try and start it with 30lb injectors and not getting a chip burned first that it would run but it would run really ritch. So i think im going to try and start it with the 30lb and see what happens. lol

Rich means bore wash, which will ruin your oil, which will also lead to cylinder wear. Over a period of time, of course. Just starting will not hurt, just to make sure everything works, is fine. You don't want to send it to them not running.
