can someone tell me where the water pump is...on the 2000 alero 2.4L and the thermostat locating...tyvm

As stated before your thermostat is under the engine on the pass side coolant pipe.
Your water pump is inside the timing chain cover pass side.
You need to remove the exhaust manifold and a bunch of other stuff to get to it.
A real PITA, I suggest picking up a cheap auto manual for your Alero !
