Thermostst Location????

I have a 2000 4.3 blazer. I'm not new to auto work, but the thermostat housing location on this engine is not where it is usually. Usually I see them top front of the engine. Where did they put this one.

Follow the upper radiator hose from the radiator back to the engine. Two bolts hold the housing to the manifold.
