GTP vs. LT-1 Camaro

Well, here we go... I was out cruising around yesterday just wasting time and gas. Pretty nice out I think it was about 45*. I was coming up a main road in Columbus and I see a bright red Camaro pulling out to my right. I was watching it in my rear view and I saw him kick the back end out a bit. Hmmm, he also had a large cowl hood and something about performance was spelled out on the windshield.

The guy ends up right beside me at the light and we were several cars back from the front. I couldnt see shit in his car because he had the limo tint or something close to it.. We enede up going once the light turned green. Funny thing is we both kind of waited till traffic moved up a little and we both bumped the throttle around the same time. His car was loud.

After one or 2 lights of not being able to do anything I figure screw it I'm getting on the interstate to head back to my side of town.. To my surprise as soon as I got into the turning lane he jumped 2 lanes to get in behind me...Sweet!!!

I was in front and he followed. Once the light turned green I made the turn normally onto the interstate. As soon as I was pointing straight I went WOT. He did the same and I was up by 2 lengths because wqe werent side by side.

My car changed from first to second and then at about 90 it shifted to third. I looked back and he had made up some distance to about 1 car behind. By now he was in the lane to my left and by time I was at 115mph he was side by side and slowly pulling. I let off because of a slight left turn coming up and I didnt want to eat a guard rail... GTP handling FTL...

I think I did pretty well holing him off allthough he would have pulled alot more if I would have stayed in it but from 10ishmph til 115 he was struggling to get around me...

Sounds like a fun race! Those lt-1's can cut a 14 flat quarter mile stock with a manual and a good driver, so you did pretty good, especially if he was modded
