So I banged into someone from behind. Toasted the front bumper and hood.

Removed old bumper and trashed. Installed new bumper. Currently bumper is being held by the 2 bolts on each sides, connected to the square metal lump on the front of the car. There are plastic clips that are needed to fix the bumper from the two sides. Anyone know if I can get after market for these clips. Also, anyone has part number from Honda/After Market.

Also, the hood does not close properly now, and at times, gets locked and very difficult to open. It may be because the hood is bent a bit, as the hood lever, when pulled, does not work. There is a metal platform close to the radiator, where the hood click in shut. Does anyone have any pictures, whether this horizontal piece should be inclined or straight. While fixing the whole thing back, I may have not put this piece back correctly, and hence the hood is not closing properly.
Also anyone knows the function of the vertical metal piece that supports the horizontal platform where the hood clicks - I could not figure it out as to how to put it back as the height of this is really long, long enough to go past the horizontal platform where the hood click.

Anyone - Pictures or any help please.

Alright..never heard someone describe it so well, let me put some names to these parts for you. The horizontal piece s the radiator support, it has a long piece that does run down in front of the radiator. It has 1 bolt down there and you can get to it through the grates of the radiator. The bar should be inclined back toward the radiator. When you rear end someone that is usually one of the first things to get bent, and its likely that it is. You can get those clips from honda, and there is no aftermarket that I know of. Your better off looking at a junkyard for the parts, as honda will probably charge you an arm and a leg for anything. Is yours a sedan, crx or hatch? im going to assume its a hatch because of the way you described the bumper mount.

Here is an exploded view of the "frame" as its called, its number 6.

And here is one of the bumper setup. Both front and back so be sure to not get them confused.

The site below has almost every part you could want and if no dealership or junkyard is local I would go through them.

Thanks FrodoGT.
I still cant figure out how to mend the hood. Dont know if the horizontal platform should be inclined or straight parallel to road.

Well, I took a look..the bolts should be at about a 45 deg angle, and the actual locking mechanism will be angled about 5 deg.

Those plastic "clips" on the sides, are they big white chunks of plastic that hold the sides of the bumper cover near the fenders? If that's what you're talking about, they're universal from any other civic of the same year/model range.
