2002 Bonneville Difficulty Starting

I have an 02 Bonneville 3.8. Occasionally it will turn over but will not start, unless I feather the gas a little, then it fires right up and idles fine. It just started doing this and only happens when its driven a very short distance and then shut off. Then when attemtping to restart, the problem occurs. Any ideas?
