Grand Vitara Stereo

I'm trying to install a new head unit in a 2002 Grand Vitara and I think I might be missing a part or something. I've got the harness all wired up and the stereo works fine. My problem is that it's like there's nothing to attach the stereo to inside the dash. Is there supposed to be some kind of mounting bracket to make it so the stereo will be held in by the screws that hold in the double din to single din spacer?
If that sounds too confusing and I need to clarify just let me know. I'll try to get some pictures if I have to. I just need to know what bracket I need to mount it into the dash or maybe where to get it. The couple things I've found online don't look right.
Thanks

there is a "basket" that comes with the headunit. You attach the basket to the single DIN adapter, then slide the headunit into the basket.

Yeah that's the issue. The "basket" that came with it is just a metal box that has no means of attaching it to the DIN adapter. Nothing sticks out perpendicular to the length of the stereo.
Maybe I need another "basket"? Can I just buy those somewhere? I really don't have the tools to do so but it looks like I might have to go to the hardware store and find some "L" shaped brackets and try to rig something up.

I just went to the parts store here and bought some "L" shaped metal pieces for 94 cents and I'm gonna drill some holes in it so this thread can be done with. Thanks anyways.

no, there are little "fingers" on the basket that tighten the basket into the hole.
