Please help! As is my user name, I am at my wits end with this stupid vehicle! The 1st week of January, we had bad snow, so since my 4WD will not engage in my Blazer (which is another problem!), I was driving my fiance's truck to work. He said the Blazer was running fine all week. Weekend came & Blazer sat, as we used his truck for the weekend. On Monday morning, I went out to start it, it would not start. It is turning over, but no fire. So he took off distributor cap to check for moisture, ok. Replaced spark plugs, they were shot! Still no run! Will not take off when spraying carb cleaner either. Had a buddy put a fuel pressure gage on it & it is reading 62 psi. Battery is ok. I have juice to lights, etc... I have been through many posts on here & am not coming up with things that will work for my problem. (Although I do like the one about a can of gas, a match, & some marshmallows, because that is where I am at with this stupid thing!) ANY help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.:banghead: :dunno:

With an old spark plug wire plugged into the coil and a good sparkplug at the other end and grounded, try to start the motor and see if the sparkplug lights.
If there's a tiny bit of red spark, the ignition coil is likely bad. No spark at all after rechecking the test wire and sparkplug/grounding could be a bad ignition coil or Crankshaft Position Sensor.
If the Check Engine light goes out a few seconds after you turn the keyswitch on, the ignition coil is suspect.
