I have a 2002 solverado with the memory seats option and I was wondering if it has the capability when I use my remote to unlock the door it sets the seats position per remote 1 and 2.

On my 2003 Tahoe you can do that. In the DIC (Driver information center) there's a setting for "seat position recall" or something like that. Selecting that option, you can then select it to operate with the remote from that menu.
I didn't think the 1999-2002 series had that option but could be wrong there.

My 01' does that, press unlock and the seat moves back. Don't know how to do that though.

Maybe someone has an owners manual that says? I am curious about this now. I figured it wouldnt have been offered on an older model like a 2002 but I could have been wrong. Please let us know, anyone! Thanks

Here's a link to a 2002 Silverado owner's manual.

It briefly covers the memory settings but doesn't mention them being recalled when you use the remote keyless entry.

Are you the original owner of the truck?
The Factory remotes with this option have a 1 and a 2 etched on the rear of them. If your remotes don't have these numbers, they may not be telling the truck to move the seats.
