Anyone know of a chart that lists the altitudes of all the different race tracks? I'm heading for Road Atlanta next weekend and want to make sure I have the car jetted properly for that track. TIA

Squerly,

Is my "tinkering" rubbing off on you ?

Atlanta is about 1000 ft above sea level http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atlanta,_Georgia#Topography

Good Luck @ Road Atlanta

Have a grrrrreat time at RA. I'm a bit envious. I was in Atlanta over Christmas, and wanted to go by the track. Surprise, surprise, they were closed over the holidays. Bummer.... I wanted to see and drive the hallowed ground.
Come and play in Albuquerque where we live at 5200 ft. Get ready for 20% less O2, and the proportional loss in power. Anyway.... The motor sports is still a blast.:crying:

DougHey Doug, I didn't realize who you were until just now! Yes, the tinkering has begone. I have my little box of jets and a couple of gaskets, just in case. :) Welcome to the board.

I'm sure you would enjoy it. I've been going to 4 DE's a year at Road Atlanta for the last several years. It's a great track, especially since they repaved it last January. I hope you get a chance to come out an play sometime. I think it would be especially cool if all of the Panoz drivers could get together for a special event. Who knows, may be something to shoot for in the future...

Squerly - if you need any quick repairs or help my tube bending and fabrication shop (where many parts for these cars are made) is 1/2 mile east of Road Atlanta in a small industrial park called Raceway Technology Park. I'm generally there MWF and at PAD where you got the car the other 2 days.

BTW... altitude problem solved! Trish (wife) surprised me this morning with this handy little device. http://www.opticsforyou.com/large-pic-6763-1.html

I am going to get with HSR our first race in March and see if I can't come up with a place we can all get together with the cars sometime this year...They do an event at Robling Road in Savannah every year that would be a good spot if I could pull it off....I'll keep you posted....Gary

We might be able to tag along with the SVT club or Seat-Time.

At least 2 of us will be at Roebling in March with Seat Time. Some of you slow ass guys should show up and learn how to drive. :owned: :cwm27:

David said he would make it so his throttle didn't open up all that way. That way it would be almost even.:nutkick:

Bring some street tires and lets have fun.

But seriously, I have heard all kinds of horror stories about Roebling's noise limits. Not sure how welcome some of these cars would be.

I dont't think we will have a problem with noise at Roebling. However I am going to be ready with a plan B if there is a problem.

How about Carolina Motorsports in Kershaw? The Mustang Owners Club is having an event there in March.
