State funeral's gonna be all over the TV, flags everywhere are at half mast. 88 years was a good innings though.

i probably learned about him sometime in my life but i never remember these types of trivial things...

contrary to popular belief i'm not that thick :)

A kiwi hero who conquered Everest and stood on both poles along with doing countless other things is hardly trivial :p
