7th gen roof spoiler

Is the trunk and rear window of a 7th gen civic hatch different between the normal version and the Type-R? A friend of mine just bought a 7th gen and try to fit the spoiler, but it didn't fit. Is this because of a low quality brand, or due to a different rear window?

Any help is welcome

also, if their is a difference, does anyone know where to find a Type-R look spoiler that fits a normal 7th gen hatch?
