Jack for 3/4 ton Suburban

Hi,

I recently got an '89 Chevy 3/4 Ton 2500 Suburban. What do you guys use in case of a flat?? Should I get a floor jack and always tow it around in the back?? Seems like the little car looking jack that came with it wouldn't be sufficient to jack up the vehicle if I had a flat being away from home.
