Hi everybody - here is my question. Whenever i bring in my 2007 aveo for an an oil change. They always recommend some kind of service thats always over a $100 bucks. Like: engine flush, tire rotation, blah blah blah...do i need those things done to keep my warranty. My service book says just oil changes for the most part. Will my warranty be good if i avoid having those things done?

hello, no you do not need to do these reccemended services. as long as you maintain the oil changes engine/trans you should be ok

And it is a good idea to keep all receipts for any service done to the vehicle whether it was performed by the dealer, an independent garage, or yourself. That way if there is ever an issue, you have some proof.

Michael, as long as you have enough oil/filter receipts for your Aveo to support the odometer reading, your warranty will be fine. You can DIY. Dunno what the book says for max oil change interval, but it's probably 7500mi max. For instance, Mr. Goodwrench can't say you didn't follow the manual if the car has 15Kmi on it and you have 2 sets of oil+filter receipts. Unless you never pop the hood (or have the hood popped), an oil related engine issue is extremely rare. Use a good oil and filter, change it between ~3-7Kmi and no worries.
