Rear axle

my friend is wonderin what rear axle he has in his 2001 3/4 ton 4wheel drive 5.9L cummins i understand that all he has to do is look at the tag to identify it but we're not workin with the brightest guy here so if one of you guys knows that be helpful to him and give me somethin else to make fun of him about

I believe with the 2500 the rear is a Dana 60. But since its a diesel upgrade it might be a Dana 70.

Call a dodge dealership and give them the vin number. They will be able to tell you what your truck came with from the factory. I just had to do this to figure out what transmission I had.
