98 f150 speedometer

the speedometer on my 98 ford f150 4 wd has just quit and i was hoping that someone could give me a bit of advice as to how to determine the problem and repair thank you sam

I would guess that the speed sensor quit on you. I have had this happen on my brothers Jeep.
