Hi everyone,

I need to take off the front rotor (yes, it's the pain in the a$$) but stuck at the last step. I took off the 4 bolts behind the knuckle and attached a slide hammer to the wheel studs. But I can't get the hub to move out even a bit. Is there something I missed or I just need to slam harder? Thank you.

Thanks. The picture in the other thread is what I have. It's from the FSM. And that's the step I need help with. After remove the 4 retaining bolts, the hub is press-in, I can just pull it out? My question is how do you get it out?

Soak the seam where the spindle and hub join (front side and back) with penetrating oil and leave it overnight. They can get incredibly cheezed together. If that doesn't allow it to seperate the next day, you may have to apply some torch heat. The hub will be ruined, however...

It's not a pressed fit, but it is an interference fit. They have to match perfectly, or the hub would wobble and strain the mounting bolts...the fit is what actually supports it, the bolts just keep it in place...

I think I saw a special tool for that year Accords at JC Witney. This is a puller that you bolt to the rotor using your lug nuts. It was something like 20-30 dollars.
