torque convertor shudder

I was wondering if torque convertor clutch chatter that causes the vehicle to vibrate does it both when in overdrive and as well when you let up on the gas. Also when I brake I feel a bad shudder which feels like its mostly coming from the rear. The brake shoes and drums are new and it was doing this prior to them being replaced. The U joints are fairly new as well. It gets worse as the truck warms up and that includes the shudder when braking as well.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
