You know what? Considering the speeds the Diablo was probably traveling by the length of the skid marks and the area of the track he was on... The car held up pretty well... shows that the car is designed to withstand some serious impacts. Apparently the driver and passenger were Ok.

Considering the speeds that car was designed to reach (not to mention how much loot it costs), it'd better.

Yea but I don't think it could have been going too fast, I have drivin that course and behind the hill he was coming down there is a shacain and you really can't go too fast there. When I was at the Petite Le Mans the cars were going prob about 50mph or so through the turns before that hill and it is a short distance so at most I think he reached about 70mph. Which is fast enough to really destroy a car. Road Atlanta is a very tricky track I have seen many cars come out looking like that , it is awful to see something like that get demolished:(

On a non-related issue, have any of you browsed that forum? I thought the GTP guys were narrow-minded...boy, was I wrong! These guys take the boobie prize. Especially the Ford Lightning guys. Maybe because they're happy. The Lightning fulfills these people's redneck desire to have a truck and go fast. Doesn't mean because they're happy with theirs, they have to put down everybody else's. That's just dumb.

Doesn't really matter how slow the shacain was behind it, he obviously overpowered the long right hand on a downslope (even less traction), so by the time he got to where he lost control, with the amount of power that car has he could easily have been going 100 or more.
