noise in steering wheel

I have a 03 trailblazer 4x4 and the latest problem is that when I turn the steering wheel it makes a strange noise. It sounds like a cable is binding but the steering feel does not change. Any ideas on this?:banghead:

It might be best to check with your dealer on the latest info or TSB or even a recall on it.
