I have a 91 buick lesabre that when I go down the road the passenger wheel feels like it's shakes. It shakes more if there is a curve or if I go to pass another car. Just wondering if it is the cv joint or the wheel bearing??? The brake like just came on this morning on my way into work.

A wheel bearing will usually produce a grinding noise if it is going bad. Never had a bad CV so not sure what the symptom would be.
Go cheap first and have the wheel balanced. Maybe a weight has popped off.

A better description of what you refer to as “shake” would be helpful. Is the tire bouncing up & down, or do you feel movement in the steering wheel from side to side? CV joint failure can usually be detected by a clicking noise during sharp turns. Bearing noise of course, is mentioned above.

When I drive down the road I have movement in the steering wheel side to side. I found a pulled the cv joint out and the bearing out. I did balence my tires and they were good. Bearing was good but the cv joint was binding up when I moved it around. If I got a tie rod or ball joint going out would does that do to the car??

Just thought I would let everyone know what the problem was. I went in last night to have my alignment checked and they found a bad tie rod. Thanks for you ideas.

Thanks for the feedback! A bad tie rod end will allow; "movement in the steering wheel from side to side". That is the reason I asked the question in post #3. :iceslolan
