Hi guys..

Im currently working on this Enzo project.. Due to a busy 2007 year, i wasnt able to lay my hands on it and regreted of unable to complete it for the 60 years tribute to Ferrari. I forsee i would take roughly 5 to 6 months or even longer on this project depending on my school schedule. Hoping to join the upcoming competitions with this. Now let mi introduce some of the aftermarkets parts that i will be using in this kit.

1. SMS Enzo Super Detail Kit
2. Acustion Enzo Wheel Set
3. Lion Roar Enzo P/E
4. Crazy Modeller Enzo P/E
5. Studio27 Seatbelt Set
6. Sakatsu Rear Damper Set
7. Studio27 & KA model Carbon Fibre Decals
8. MHF Heat Shield
9. Sakatsu Tire Valve, Push Switch
10. Tamiya Enzo Kit

Besides these, i will still be purchasing some other parts like Ferrari spare logo decals and etc that i will show them in future threads.

These are some of my progress so far..

Some of the parts that i will use

Taking a break from my progress, i decided to post some old enzo pics which i finished about 3 years ago. Not very satisfy with the body paint and overall construction.. And during a period of time, i was working overseas and somehow during this period of time, it developed cracks, and i believe it must be the direct hit by sunlight, because i didnt instruct my maid to close my curtains in the afternns!!!:( THis is also partly the reason to why i decided to do this project! :)

Hi, actually imo, there are a few differences. Bascially Crazy Modeler has more detail photoetch parts than LIon Roar. Crazy Modeler also offered better-looking grills than LR. CM also offers a full disc brakes unlike LR which only has the disc brake surface photoetch. CM also has mini plates at different parts of the car and some heat shield photoetch which LR doesnt offer as well. But its better to get the heat shield foil from MHF.:iceslolan. One may wonder why i still get the the LR set, i tink its mainly because of the car plate with the engraving 'enzo ferrari'.

Therefore i think you should get the crazy modeler set. it covers most of what the car has. :grinyes:

Hi all, just a little update of whats going on this build.

Firstly some modification is done on the dashboard, air-con outlet is substituted with CM's photoetch. I feel that its not realistic compared to the real thing. What do you guys think? I can always use back the spare piece.

Nice detail, the luggage box looks great!, I feel the carpet a little on the big side here, but that is just to mention something.
The air vents look good to me, may be if you want to make them see more real, you can add very thin/small pieces of plastic (little squares) behind every arm of the star that form the vents, to give volume to the assembly, I was wondering about the use of this parts on mine, but they look good, and adding those small parts is not that difficult and would help a lot.

Keep this great work, it is inspiring.

Thanks for the comment! For the carpets, i think i will remake them because i thought that my flocking was done badly, but for the size, i believe its because of the angle i took the picture and therefore it may look big here. i make the carpets by using masking templates from the molded carpets. I agree with you about the air vents. As i have mentioned, i think i will either switched back to the original piece or may adopted your idea. :icon16: thanks once again!

Wow, a lot of work for a single part! The refuel area looks amazing, great job there!
The front suspension is a great job too, I just would add some PE bolts to the components to match the high level of detail of the rest of the build, since I think these are going to be visible aren’t they?
In the case of the oil reservoirs… well, to be honest, I think they are not to the level of accuracy of the rest of the build, but I think also that something can be done to improve them, may be if you cut the end without grooves, leaving only the grooves and then replacing that side with plastic rod of the same diameter will make the part more uniform, I’m attaching a drawing to help me explain.

For the support bars, they are perfect!

Thanks for that comment, its really constructive and i have to agree with you that its not up to standard and in fact its the worst part that i have the biggest headache with. i will try to improve on it or even make a new one and keep you guys posted. Im thinking maybe i will not cut it up and attach a rod but just rounded the area after the grooves to make it cylindrical. Yup, i guess i will also add the bolts and nuts respectively to the suspensions. :iceslolan Again, thanks once again for that. Any further comments are welcomed!

for those reservoirs for the rear shocks...pick up a revell Enzo kit..the ones in it are way more acurate, i'm going to use them on mine(as well as the revell seats after some mods)

I’m glad to see more updates on this great building!

And have some comments:
First, well, those oil reservoirs… I feel they aren’t yet up to the standard of the rest of the building, I would go for a different approach, may be if you try to make the splines with a photoetched saw using it transversally with the axis of the plastic rod.

The front section looks awesome! All that detail really adds up to the car, and the luggage compartment, it’s a great job! I like it

The job on the dashboard is superior!!, the Carbon Fiber finish looks very accurate.

The fuel flap is a great detail, the opening hinge looks very good, but the flap is way too thick for the scale, I would consider making it of thin plastic, which would be very easy to cut and bend to conform it to the shape of the engine cover

Keep us posted, it’s an awesome job!

Yea, i agree with ya, and i guess i will make it a thinner fuel flap, as well as maybe scratchbuild another oil reservoirs. Thanks for the suggestion!

Well, just some pics of my baby...

the first pic shows the seatbelt material from studio27 which i got a while ago, where the second pic shows the seatbelt material from KA models which i just got it recently. I must say the one from KA models are just so real! better than another other material i have seen!

THis is looking good!

The KA belts really do look good!

I like the wiring under the hood/nose. Did you make that up or is based on reference pics or a little of both? I like it. I may have to steal some of that for a build of mine.

Nice work!
