Can it be done?!?

so, i have a wrecked 01 civic DX.. im planning on dropping out the engine and tranny this week and was thinking on what i could put it into and an idea hit... grab an old not running 80's model civic (very light weight) with a good body from a junk yard for pretty cheap, and drop my engine and tranny into it and get it running and have a decent car with a newer engine that'll be decently 'quick' ive been tryin to find info to go about doing this, but all i keep getting is people sayin that it wont work cuz the engine and tranny wont fit. so im wondering if its gonna be possible, cuz i really dont see how it wouldnt work... any thoughts?

a little company called hasport makes motor mounts that will allow you to put an obd2 motor with a hydraulic transmission into an obd 0 car that was designed to receive a cable one, you will also have to modify the car's chasis harness to receive the extra sensors from the obd2 motor

i just took a look at hasport.com, and mostly its just dealing with swapping B-series engines into various applications... im just doin the D-series
