Coilover Question

Hey...just woundering about the coilovers...do they just go over the stock shocks...or how do they work...? i know it sounds dumb but im new to all this and want to lower my esi and found a nice pair of cosmo racing evoII coilovers...thanx

The ones you are talking about are the slip-over type coilovers. And yes they would go over your stock stocks. But to tell you the truth you would be much happier with some good name brand lowering springs, because those coilover pieces of poo poo are going to ride like crap. You'll be bouncing all over the place and bottoming out on the slightest bump.

^^agreed i bought some coil overs for my eclipse bounced all over the damn place ended up replaceing both front shocks because of it. IMO if your going to do it do it right the first time^^ :2cents:

STAY AWAY FROM CHEAP COILOVERS!
I wanted to get that out. Like said above, anything that doesn't have a good name behind it (this is about the only time where name brands apply) will ride like absolute shit and probably send you to the hospital for back surgery. If you really want a good set of coilovers for a decent price, go with some Ground Controls. They use an Eibach spring so you know they're good. IIRC, they're around $300ish, which is reasonable for coilovers that ride nice.
