I have a 1993 chevy pickup 4x4 with a 350 engine. the truck runs good driving down the road but it will not idle. I have replaced the idle air control valve and the fuel pressure regulator and it still will not idle, any and all help will be greatly appreciated!

A TBI not idling can be a few different issues:
- a bad engine coolant temp sensor
- a bad pickup coil or worn dist bushing
- a vacuum leak
- EGR valve sticking or a bad EGR solenoid
- a bad MAP sensor
- a bad 02 sensor
- low fuel pressure (should be 9 - 13 PSI)
Do you have access to a scan tool to see what the sensor values are?

I have a 95 with a 4.3 runs fine when cold but when it warms up the idle gets real rough and sometimes stalls. also has a rich smell from the exaust. dont have a vacume gauge so i put a pump on the big line out of the tbi and got bout 25psi. im not the most knolageable when it comes to cars. im 17 and need to get it runnin so i can start driving to work. any help is appreciated. i can get a scan tool to check values or the above posted but i cant get it today.

It might be better to start your own post; however, it sounds like you might have a bad ECT sensor (in the intake manifold near the tstat). When you get the scan tool, look at what temp the sensor is reporting. Should be close to 195 when the engine is warm (unless you are running a colder tstat).
