usually around 1/4 to 1/2. assuming you replaced water pump and all that when long block went in, was the system bled correctly?

can be any of the following...
bad sensor, water pump, air in system, thermostat. Most likely air in the system. Mine ran 1/2 ( 195) in normal temps 3/4 during the summer at a stop light with the fan running pretty much all the time.
