Hey my dad has a 1994 LeSabre Custom. Grandmother owned in in FL and it sat in her garage from 1998-2003. We picked it up down there with 4 flat tires and a dead battery lol.
Anyway the radio was killing the battery left and right so we replaced it with an aftermarket Pioneer with XM radio. Great. Circuit City did the honors.
Now the radio has hit the dust and Im going to order a new Pioneer online and would like to install it myself, we already have the universal XM adapter or I'd get an Alpine or something.
But now Im at a stand still... I pull the wood trim off the dash and remove 2 screws but the dash panel wont budge, the top is stuck in solid!!
Also I have no clue how to go about installing new front dash speakers....
Help would be great, Id like to fix this thing for my dad for his birthday in Feb.
Thanks,
Charles
Oh yea, its the 4 speaker setup.

Welcome to AF, Miles To Empty. Your dad's '94 has a passenger side airbag, so it will be a little different from mine, but I believe the dash bezel removal will basically be the same as my '92 (with exception to removing the glovebox) There are screws hidden behind the air vent outlets. Turn the outlets so they face the left (driver side) and put some pressure and they should pop right out. Look inside the air duct, facing the top, and you'll see the screws. If you have a Torx driver set, I believe the size you'll need is T10, but T15 may work (it's a rather small size). If you don't ahve a torx driver you can use a small socket set as well... just be careful not to drop the screws in the air ducts! There will be 2 other screws (same size) directly above the gauges, you'll see the openings if you squat down a little. I've never removed the bezel on a passenger airbag equipped Buick, so I am unsure of any other bolts there may be. To remove the dash speakers, take a look at the far left and right sides of the black dash panel, where there are openings for the defroster. you'll notice 2 small 1"x3" covers, one on the drivers side, the other on the passenger side. These covers have small slits in them for removal, so you'll need a standard screwdriver to pop them out of the black panel. Once they're out, you'll see one other T10 torx screw holding the panel down on each side. Remove them and pull the panel straight off, towards you. Now you have access to the dash speakers, but it may be difficult to remove them because the windshield just has to be in the way! Hope this info helps, good luck!

since you have an aftermarket stereo already in i would suggest not ripping apart the whole dash, if you get a new radio of the same DIN size you should just be able to pull out the current radio and slide the new one in the same spot. you will need the radio keys to do this, if you cant find them you can get them on ebay for about 4 dollars shipped. http://cgi.ebay.com/Pioneer-JVC-car-radio-CD-player-removal-Key-keys-tools_W0QQitemZ330202399675QQihZ014QQcategoryZ8580 6QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD1VQQtrksidZp1638.m118.l1247Q QcmdZViewItem after you pull off the small trim around the edge of the player there are slots on either side you insert the keys in. just push them in until they click and then pull out and the radio should come out. if your getting another pioneer everything should fit.

To the left and right of the top of the black plastic panel are little rectangular pieces of the panel with a slot in the middle designed to be popped out. Pop them out and expose the one screw per side. After that the whole black thing pulls backward and out.

MilesToEmpty, I've already explained this in my original response to your question, do you see what spinne1 and I are talking about?

I need to replace my 1992 Buick LaSabre radio and found the replies to original question very helpful. I would like to add the following for the first timer taking one of these apart.
It worked for me but may not be factory approved.
1992 Buick LaSabre Radio removal
Snap off wood grain plastic trim.
Remove A/C vents by turning to right and pop out with putty knife. Return to same holes.
Remove 10 Glove box assy screws. 5 for door and 5 for box I think.
Remove 10 screws that attach bezel around speedometer and radio.
Bezel may stick to speedometer bezel due to rubber gasket.
Remove 5 screws holding radio in place.
Pull radio out far enough to unlpug wires and antenna.
