I was pondering the other day about how I want to set up the exhaust on my 'Bird.

I found a nice set of Shorty headers. Would I lose too much back pressure and hurt the motor if I ran stright pipe from the headers? As in NO mufflers, and NO cats... ?

if you keep the diameter of the pipes small it should even everything out.

I was thinking about 2.5". Is that good?

2.5 might be kinda big for duals if thats what youre planning.... i apologize as im not familiar with your setup, 305, 350, stock, modded, etc.

If your car is stock, then youre really not going to lose a whole lot of power due to a loss of backpressure, a 2.5in single pipe alla the stock setup, would do you just fine.
