Hi guys....I have a strange one for you. My truck was running fine with no trouble lights. Went to start it and there was no noise . Acc/ headlights all working fine . Switched out starter relay and checked for loose wiring, still nothing. Next morning the engine started normally and did so during the day, until it was time for work then again I turned the key and no noise ( may-be 1 small click ).....Now I am lost . hope you can help thanks ( 96 1500,318 )

Check your battery cable on the battery post itself. It might be just enough to turn on some lights and sometimes enough to allow the engine to crank. Check the cables to the starter. It seems just a loose connection problem.

a dodge has to have a good hot battery to start one its been like that for 50 years . ain't no wimpy battery gonna start one even more so when it is cold .get your battery checked . if the battery checks out then get the alternator output checked.but i betting on the battery being bad as it will crank it when it the outside temp is warmer.
