Well I ordered some carbon fiber side mirrors and I just got them in this morning. They costed $ 85.00, anyways I have manual mirrors and these are power mirrors! The place I got them said they were manual so I went back to double check and I cannot adjust the mirrors what so ever and there are three wires dangling from the side. I know two of the wires are for the LED's but the third wire is obvious. My question is, can manual mirrors be replaced with power mirrors eaisly? OR I have to get a new center console with the switches etc.

I dont think you need to get a new console but you will need a switch and maybe some wiring from the junkyard a dremel will cut a hole anywhere you want to put the controls.

Yeah, you'll need to get a switch (Factory power mirrors on the Cavalier have the switch right in the mirror on the inside of the door so no new consule) and find a way to hook it up to a power source as well as get the wiring right.

You know what, everytime I order an aftermarket product for my car they never seem to fit *perfectly..like the orginal stock fits like a glove.Does this always happen? Because my tail lights, projector headlights and now my side mirrors are all like that! youcan tell it's just not fitting right. But in the end it all turns out right. I'm just curious to know If anyone else has these problems or If my car is the only retarded one out there.

Rule of thumb, Aftermarket is never going to fit perfectly, I had to modify, I think, everything I did on my car. Even my new kit from Wings West needed to be modified slightly by my shop. Nothing is going to be as good as OEM.

Well it's nice to know I'm not the only one with this problem. Now I know .. don't exspect things to fit perfect. I tried to put my mirrors on today and the adapter holes for the screws did not line up with the holes from the stock ones which is a pain in my a**. Also the adapter piece wont sit in place right,so know I have a feeling when it rains it's going to leak. So what can I use to prevent this from happening?
