I thought we should have a place to list replacement/repair parts sources. Many of the parts are generic parts. Some of them are from production cars too. As you find parts sources, list them here. Of course, Gary Jones Motorsports is supporting these cars and we should support his business. Lets try to keep it clean and searchable for future searches.
Windshield - From a 99 Mustang. Find it in most junk yards or auto glass vendors.
Clutch cable - Fox body Mustang GT (87-93). (I think :dunno: , correct me if I'm wrong)
Transmission seals and parts. The trans is a Temec 3550. Tremec changed the model numbers of these a few years ago. Parts are available here. Standard Transmission (http://store.standardtransmission.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWCATS&Category=8).

Thanks Jim... I have a spare windshield as the one in my car now is cracked but on the right side so it should still pass tech.
Apparently these things like to crack windshields.

Motor Mounts - These are from a Fox body Mustang GT. 93 Mustang GT should get you what you need. This is for the GT-RA. Your application may vary.:grinyes:
There are two different styles of mounts used on the GTRA. Mine uses the Fox body mounts.

Jim;
Do you know if the solid mounts can be used? What would be recommended? The rubber mounts seems to wear out quickly, but the solid mounts will transmit a lot more vibration to the frame structural members.

I don't see why they couldn't be used. A friend of mine recommended I use solid. He has then in all of his track cars. His cars break a lot so I tend to do the opposite of whatever he recommends.

A few companies make solid mounts: http://www.uprproducts.com/shopping/shopexd.asp?id=355
http://www.uprproducts.com/images/parts/all/solid_motor_mounts_LRG.gif
Solid Motor Mount Kit for all Small Block Ford Mustangs equipped with a 289, 302 and 351 based engine.
These new UPR motor mounts are 1/2 the weight of stock and aluminum motor mounts. But most of all they are much stronger than any other brand available on the market.
These units are on many of the class champions and racers in todays industry.

This forum is a great reference. I am hoping to compile alot of this information and put it on a web site as a reference to Panoz owners. Here are some parts numbers (and pad interchange) on some of the brake components on the GTRAs:
Front brakes calipers: Brembo (sometimes called Viper or F40 calipers)
Front brake pads: Performance Fiction 7780.97.18.44 (http://www.pfc.commrich.co.uk/cgi-bin/store/store.cgi?&shop=city&cart=96887207x388&session=476c3026018461a7&L=eng&P=7780XX18XX)
Interchange series: Brembo 1976, Hawk HB-193, Pagid 1287, 2179
Fits Brembo 20.4862.08/08 Calipers (FMSI D810, D968) used on:
1999-2003 Aston Martin DB7
2003-05 Dodge Viper
1988-95 Ferrari F40 / F50, 1998-2000 Ferrari Modena
2000-03 Jaguar XK R, 2003-04 Jaguar XK 8 / XK Coupe
1997-2003 Lamborghini Diablo
Front rotors: 2 piece Performance Friction floating rotor 12.91"x1.25"
328.32.0050.01 (left) and 328.32.0050.02 (right)
Rear rotors: 2 piece Performance Friction floating rotor 12.91"x1.1"
328.28.0050.01 (left) and 328.28.0050.02 (right)
From what I understand, PF doesnt make the 97 pad compound any longer. From their description, it sounds like a street/track pad. I plan on switching to something more aggressive once we use up the "stock" pads.
I will see if I can find some interchange pads for the rears since I just found the part number in this thread.

Thanks for the data dump. I agree that the best use of this forum is the exchange of info on parts, processes to fix things, and general info on these bad ass cars.
I've used PFC pads for my Z06 for over 3 years. No complaints. The pads were great for cross purpose use of driving on the road and track use. But for a dedicated track car, a set of Hawk pads might be superior. Any additional info will be very much appreciated.

I cant find anything definitive on the rear brakes, but it looks like the pads may interchange with the Hawk 194.570. These are from 92-02 Vipers, CTS-Vs, and the 2000 Cobra R Mustang. Can anyone verify this is the rear pad? The Hawk pad is at the top and the PF pad is at the bottom. They look the same to me.
Dont know if Gary picked up any pads, but considering the racing pads are about $250/axle, the "stock" PF might be a good option.

There has been a lot of talk about motor mounts on these cars...If you can stay away from the solid mounts you will be better off in the long run...Man those things will vibrate everything on that car apart and can even cause cracks in the car itself over a period of time...If anyone out there has the time to check I'll bet someone makes a Poly style mount that will fit...They are very resistant to oil and heat and I use them on the engine and trans in my Vintage race cars with a 0 failure rate...I'll bet Summitt or Jeggs has a mount ( I would guess about $150.00 for the set )and you won't be disapointed....Gary

Anyone have the Clutch Cable Part #?
Clutch cable is from a 90 Mustang GT 5.0. My cable failed last time out. None of the local auto parts places could get the adjustable cable anymore. I got a stock non-adjustable one and it worked, for awhile. It failed by the end of the day too. Cheap Chinese crap. They both failed because of the heat from the headers.
I bought 2 from Maximum Motorsports (1 for a spare)y. The are better cables and a little bit longer to route them away from the headers. They are not adjustable so I picked up a firewall adjuster. It will require some modifications to make the adjuster work. The cable will be covered with some heat shielding.

New rack because hoses are leaking?
I make my own high pressure hose using fitting and hose from ANPlumbing.com (tip: Spin the fitting onto the hose with an impact wrench)
Everything you ever wanted to know about power steering racks, pumps and, fittings is contained in the thread below. Source for a new rack (AGR) is Jegs or Sumitt and the cost will be around $250.
Thead on CC.com with a ton of info. Particularly posts numbers 15, 67 and 80 if your real issue is simply a leaking fitting.

Gentlemen: I have pulled the ECU and find no numbers on it. I am puzzed the ecu has a chip on the back of the unit. Would this be an Accel or the standard Ford Cobra unit?. Just trying to get things lined up for the Dyno in two weeks. I have told the tunner it was an Accel DFI generation seven. No Bruce I have not put the brackets in yet and I am keeping the WC car and selling the 911 my be I will take it back to Barett-Jackson.

Is this a GTRA car ?
If you have anything plugged into the service port of the ECU (i.e. a "chip") is does not belong to Ford, it is aftermarket. Mine has a Diablosport chip. There should be a bar code and an identifying number on the gray plastic portion where the ECU plugs into the harness. It should say EEC-IV and the processor model number (mine is A3M1 and would be interchangeable with any of the 5.0L EFI cars).
FWIW, I no longer have need of my ECU (or any of the EFI stuff, including intake and heads). If anyone needs parts, let me know and make an offer. I will be e-bay'ing all of it this winter.

No this is a WC car . 4.6 liter. Do all ECU units have a place for a chip in the rear?
A 4.6 is most likely an EEC-V processor (not easily interchanged with an EEC-IV). Physically, it is identical to the EEC-IV, and yes, it has a plastic cover over the service port on the rear of the processor. When these computers are "chipped", a small circuit board with new programming is installed in this service port (and sticks out the back of the processor). People usually wrap tape around the "chip" to prevent it from falling out.

WOODY - All the rear end stuff came from Coleman Racing Products 800-221-1851. You have the (wide 5) hub set up. You should also order the axle washer. You set these up just like front wheel bearings. You may also want to order the special socket adaptor to tighten the axle nut. makes setting the bearing up easier. I'm at the office and don't have the coleman catalog here or I'd get you the part #'s. Let me know if you run into problems... Bruce

Jim, you could call PAD or try these guys in Mooresville, NC. Supposedly they are the distributor for North America. VERY helpful - especially Dennis in Technical Support.

Just purchased Fox body Mustang mounts for my GTS 351 car. They match the mounts I took out of the car during an engine rebuild. I purchased Energy Suspension 1122-R mounts.
