replacement headlight assemblies

My wifes 2000 Grand Prix has the ever so common hazed headlights.

I have tried the common fixes like buffing, wet sanding and buffing, etc.
It helps some but not enough because the lense covers actually have a lot of very small "checks" in them that can't even be sanded out.

So, it looks like I will be buying some new replacement assemblies soon.

I have checked several websites that sell the aftermarket replacements and most seem to be priced between $80 and $100 PER SIDE for the full headlight/parklight assembly.

However, there is a seller on that famous auction site that is selling the same looking assemblies for almost half that price. $104.95 for BOTH SIDES to be exact.

So, my question is, have any of you guys bought replacement headlight assemblies for your Grand Prix and if so where and how much?
Has anyone bought the ones for $104.95 by chance and if so, were you satisfied they are OK?

He does state however there isn't any kind of guarantee and there are no returns, exchanges, or refunds of any kind!!!
The guy does have a 99.5 feedback rating though so he must not have a lot of complaints on his products.

I just can't imagine why he is so much cheaper than the others.
Any thoughts or info?

Thanks!

I bought the ones from ebay, probably the same ones your looking at. They seemed very high quality and came with everything, even silverstar bulbs. I couldnt believe it.

tblake,
Thanks for your input.

Holmz.

Thanks for the instructions but I doubt that procedure would work on mine because the lense covers are not just hazed over but have hundreds of tiny little checks or cracks if you will that probably go all the way through.
As I said before I have tried sanding and buffing them with minimal success.
New replacements are probably my only option.

I just ordered a HID conversion kit for only $120 which includes both sides.

Haven't come in yet, should be here later this week. That website also has a very nice looking fenderwell intake.
