Computer chips bad?

How can you tell if a computer chip is bad.. for someone told me if the computer chip is bad that will make a blazer flash a code and make the engine revive up and will not cut down thanks Kenn

PCM proms usually do not go bad.
Has the pcm been changed or does it have the right applacation?
What year and engine?
What code No.?
