I was away for a few days, and have came back to find my sunfire making a rather interesting sound. Now you should know i put washer fluid in it on thursday night, and by friday after work it has leaked out, if that has anythign to do with the odd sound i have no idea, but i thought i would point it out.

Anyways, it is making a sound of plastic rubbing on metal for lack of a better word, and from what i can gather, it is coming from the area around the belt on the pasenger side of the motor. Now i have looked and checked and there doesnt appear to be anything rubbing on the belt or the flywheel, or alternator. when i rev the car up, it takes a moument, and then it gets a little louder, wich leads me to belive it is something in that general area. Now i have never heard of an alternator making that kind of sound, but could that be it?

The car is a 2001 Sunfire GT with the 2.4. I dont have any warning lights on in the dash, and no leaks anywhere that i can see. The car appears to be runing fine, i drove it a bit and it ran like normal, just with this loud noise. Help asap would be great if anyone can offer it.
