man last night my car stopped working,,, i couldnt figure out what the problem was until this morning when i walked all the way ove to look at it (after the snow melted off the engine)

a belt is missing!! there are 2 belts in the engine compartment it is the lower of the 2

is this a timing belt or THE timing belt?
can i repair this myself by going up to ol NAPA or do i have to tow????

some help quick!!!

Probally your alternator belt, your timing belt is covered up. Do your lights work, will the car roll over ? If not than your alternator belt broke, you'll need to get a new one and charge your battery.

...or just jump the car and charge the battery up...no sense in buyin a new battery.. should be a quick, cheap fix.

Do you have any power first? It doesn't sound like the timing belt but if the belt came off, it was for a reason. When was the last time the car was running cause i wonder if a bearing is locked up.

yea...sounds like an alt. belt....as someone else mentioned, the timing belt is up top under the plastic cover (the belt that goes around the cam gear)

go to:

http://www.quickhonda.net/index2.htmand either check out or download the helm's manual. the info you are looking for will be in the service not electrical. in the service manual look under the "electrical"

to get to the helm's you follow that link, click "garage" in the link on the left, and then service manual.

lol, i hope i made sense. they have a link to an electrical manual and to a service manual. open the service manual and then go down to the "electrical chapter"....about half way down you'll see all the alt. stuff

sorry if i caused confusion. sometimes i don't even understand myself this early in the morning
