Building this one for an upcoming article in Model Cars Magazine...... and loads of inspiration from Rallyraiders Black one....
I will be using the Scale motorsports Carbon fiber Template set along with the photo etch set from Matt Wells....
http://images31.fotki.com/v1093/photos/3/335511/5775123/P1010004-vi.jpg
Body has been painted. I used a PPG metallic blue basecoat followed by 2 coats of Dupont Chroma clear urethane. Body has also been polished.
http://images34.fotki.com/v1079/photos/3/335511/5775123/P1010001-vi.jpg
The engine in the kit is pretty straight forward, no serious detailing here since most will be hidden by the CF frame anyways. I used Tamiya FLat aluminum shot through the airbrush followed by some detail being picked out by Black wash from long enterprises. I toned down the exhaust coating it in semi flat clear and giving it the heated look with tamiya clear colors and their fantastic weathering pastels.

Thanks for looking more to come real soon......

The shapes are pre printed on the back of the decal sheets but you have to cut them out..... well worth it if you ask me..... Some are a little ill fitting and some are really not needed.....

Not much to add to what has been already said, but still don't want to appear like I have no interest. Needless to say, it's strictly top notch elements of skill here. I love the finish, I use DuPont ChromaClear exclusively in my work and for models and I love it. I can only imagine the interior yet to come.

clean work for sure!
But, if you allow a word of criticism, the carbon decals are not very realistic looking in my opinion. They look too silvery, while in reality the carbon weaving is only visible in bright light, and still it is very dark. All this flashy carbon looks more like a popular building style to me than an accurate representation.
I love the color, it looks very rich and suits the exotic character of the car very well. But it looks like you did not polish it, a few spots look a bit bumpy...
Anyway, thanks a lot for sharing your very nice work! (I wish I had so much time to dedicate to model building...)

Hmmm..... I find your criticism a bit disturbing... When I take my pictures I tend to adjust the Aperature to +7 to "Brighten up" the photograph so all details can be seen. The CF work is alot darker in person than in the photos. Its not as Flashy as you so put it. The paint WAS polished and is extremely smooth. Funny how you are the only one criticizing it. I can take CONSTRUCTIVE Criticism very well.... But yours is not CONTRUCTIVE in MY OPINION. It baffles me when newbie's come on AF only to knock down peoples work. I searched your name to see if there was any WIP or completed projects of yours I could view to see if you could back up your so called constructive criticism.. I was not suprised to find NONE....and you have been a newbie since 2003? Lets see you post your work and then you can knock me down if you feel the need to do so again... or maybe I can return the favor? :evillol: Maybe if you stop knocking people's work you might have that time that you wish you had to build something......

Awesome as usual Dave!
The brass screen is tough with that kit. I did not even attempt it fearing it would be a big mess.
Your ability to paint those shocks and springs like that is beyond me. The same on your FXX... nice.
When we met in Atlanta you said you were going to do this kit with a trans kit of some kind. What happened to that? That would be awesome with your talents.
When Geronimo's Gemballa kit is released, let's both get one and have a little challenge! What do you say? Get Clay in on it? I wouldn't mind third place to you two!!!
Who else wants in?
What do you think?
Awesome work!
