Ok this one has me stumped. I have a 1995 blazer that ran great today on my way home. But as I headed out to the store it wouldnt even crank. So after playing around with it for a few minutes I gave up and went inside maybe it was still hot I thought. No. It still wouldnt start but I tried it again this time tapping the brake while cranking and it fired up what is wrong here???

Welcome to AF.
Does the starter crank it over good?
If so.
You are losing spark or fuel pressure.
You need to check for lose of either one or both both when it will not start.
Post back fuel pressure readings.
If not check battery and cables and starter and charging system.

So this only started my trouble come to find out it was never the map sensor as I had expected and tried. I noticed my coolant was low so i topped it off and drove to work While at work I was explaining it to my buddy and said i see alot of smoke when I start it up now. We go check it out it was outta coolant. So last night I go out with my buddy and check it out its leaking into the exhaust. Im thinkin cracked head I call my buddy he says wheck the intake manifol gaskets I do they are cracked we replace them as I have never done these before my buddy insists we put copper gasket maker over the gaskets and we reassembled it then fired it up to see it run..<<< DO NOT DO THIS.... THEY ARE DRY GASKETS DONT COAT THE GASKETS AND DO NOT RUN THE ENGINE FOR AT LEAST OVERNIGHT. I THOUGTH WE HAD IT FIXED LAST NIGTH IT RAN LIKE A CHAMP ONLY TO GO OUT AND FIND MY TRUCK TO BE SMOKIN WORSE THAN EVER. NOW IM OFF TO REDO THE JOB AGAIN THE CORRECT WAY. YOUNG AND DUMB ILL LEARN THE HARD WAY

Ok i have coolant leaking into my exhaust. It smokes real bad for about 5 min then goes away and im going through some anitfreeze too. 1 gal in about 45 min. I did just change my intake gaskets last night and my buddy put copper gasket maker over them. I hear they are dry gaskets?? Then he fired it up right after it was put back together. This morning I went to start it up to take it to work and it was like the motor was Hydrolocked. So i told my stepdad then he went out and it fired on 1st try for him. then tonight I tried it again and once again it did the same. Im sure it was the gasket as part of it was so corroded it was unrecognizable. Oil is ok a lil milky but im almost positive its not my head as it never overheated. Am i wrong in trying to get away with just an intake gasket??????

Before you go back into intake You might get a head gasket test done on it.
They make a chemical block tester that is good on testing head gaskets.
Good Luck

So I did all i could the motor ran good for 3 days then started a little smoking and I was dumfounded and I decided I was going to work on it that night. So i was leaving work and it wouldnt start it was hydrolocked. I turned it over by hand and got it to fire up I drove it home and there the motor poured blacked smoke and temp redlined Its gone still runs but no power and overheats constantly I know I shouldnt drive it but Im buyin a new motor anyway so I wanna hurt this one for all the money and time it costed me in fixing it.
