tech question - rb25det into gts4

Is this at all possible?
More specifically, i had an R32 in mind.. and even more specifically, the 4 door model.

(it'd be something different.. something rare)

It is not only possible it has been done numerous times. Also a RB30 conversion though it was in a coupe no difference in the application.

Actually let rephrase that. An RB25DE motor was converted to turbo charged. The same block in the R33GTS4 which is N/A. That is important as the trans mounting points and sump are needed.

i'm kinda tossing up between a rb25det'd GTS4 r32 sedan.. building a kit car, like a lotus7.. souping up an old rx7, or building a replica lamborghini diablo. pretty sure this would be the easiest of the lot to complete and get approved for road use :)

I haven't run across anything yet on line, most have been read via magazines.

I could try and put together a pdf file or something equivelent from information taken out of one of the mags on one done and fire it to you via email.
When I have a bit of free time I will scan the pics and work on it then get back to you.

An easier way to 25DET a 32GTS4 is to get the 25DET out of a Stagea. ALready 4WD and a straight bolt in.

Nemesis: stagea's are even rarer here in Melbourne than R32 GTS4s, but a good idea and worth chasing up on.
