Definitely not the same tranny he needs... He needs a tranny for a 420A from a 2g... I don't even think the 420A trannys out of the Neons will match up.

Have you checked all your local junkyards EclipseRS? I know the junkyards around me are filled with n/a 2g's...

The 2.0 Neon 420A tranny is completely different. Also you can pull that exact motor/tranny match from the dodge avenger.
