Questions before I get my SRT-4
These are just simple questions I hope some of you can answer for me:
1. I test drove 2 SRT-4’s. The first one was red; the second one was black. The red srt-4’s turbo spool was extremely sensitive, could be heard at low rpm, and the blow off valve was loud. I had the impression that’s how they all were. But when I drove the black srt-4 it was completely silent. There was absolutely no noticeable turbo spool. I learned these cars, stock, don’t have blow off valves, but what was the reason for the loud turbo spool? Did the red one have a different turbo? It whistled. I loved it.
2. I’ve never had a tuner car. I was under the impression that to mod an srt-4 all the way to stage 3 I have to buy stage 1, and 2 first. Is this true?
3. Will an expert Import Tuner shop know how to care and work on srt-4’s just as they do with other Japanese cars? What is the best shop for these cars.
4. What is your opinion of a good deal for a Black 2005 SRT-4 w/ sunroof, stock, 28,000 Miles up North in the state of Pennsylvania?
5. If I stick strictly to MOPAR products and upgrades would the warranty on the srt-4 still get voided?
I think those are all the questions. Thanks!

The red one was modded. Put a cold air or short ram and the black one will sound the same. About the stage kits you don't have to buy one before the other. If you want a stage 3 car you buy the stage 3 kit. You will have to talk to the shop. It is fun doing the simple stuff yourself and there is tons of help out there I would suggest that instead of a shop. Don't really know about the price. Mopar stuff is really nice. About the warranty you will have to talk to your dealer a local guy has a 50 trim car and he still has his warranty. Hope that helps

1)The first one was most likely modded, that or it had a boost leak enabling you to hear the turbo whine.
2)No you don't have to buy each stage before the stage that you want. It would not be possible to use each prior since each time it comes with a new computer.
3)You will learn that most places/people know nothing about the srt in pretty much any way or form. Tuner shops have no idea period...and dealerships know absolutely nothing about turbo cars.
4)How much are they asking for it?
5)Yes, your warrenty is still unprotected if you mod period.
