88 750, transmission ideas

the problem:
1. starts in gear
2. take off beautiful but, when come to stop do not shift down. however, it shift very good up and down in manuel mode.

i did:
1. transmission+valve body rebuild (x2). was tested out of the car = perfect.
2. replaced gear selector/starter disable.
3. replaced transmission comp.

still it cranks in gear(dont start due to low battery, new one tomorrow).

any ideas?
