This is like the 10th PS2 controller I've broken. I was playing GT3 and got mad and threw it, and well you know the rest. Anyone else broken their controllers?

i bought a new PS1 (yeah i'm saving my money for 240SX in spring, so no PS2 for me) controller a while back, and after a week of having it with no rough treatment, the X button stopped working out of nowhere. i guess i could've taken it back on warranty, but i'm lazy, and now a year has passed and it's still in my drawer...
and then there's the other PS1 controller that i accidentally stepped on (it was under a blanket), which seperated the two halves of plactic on one side and rendered the shock thingy useless. the controller still works though, in fact it's my only one, it's just a bit awkward to hold.

Ive broken a controller before, playing GTA Vice City. There is a part where you have to beat this dude in a race in order to get him for a job that helps you beat the game. I have never been so pissed at a game in my life, and yes I know its just a game, but when it kicks your ass by 1 tenth of a second EVERY single time, you'd get pissed too. I finally beat that Mofo and did a little happy dance in my living room. This was after I got the new controller.

I take it you play GT alot? If so just take the halves apart on the PSone controller and clean it out, put it together and the X should work fine, thats what happened to mine. I have broken many a things, I sold my PSone to a second hand shop because I beat it up so bad that the lense took around 10 minutes to load GT2 :D Opps, I hoep someone has more fun with it then I did

thanks for the idea, i'll have to give it a go...and yeah it was from GT, GT2, Driver You Are The Wheelman, and also Tony Hawk 2 (the X button is the ollie button, which is the button you use the most in that game).
