Throw Out Bearing

I think I posted this before, but my tranny makes noise when running. It mostly does it when cold, and goes away when the clutch is pushed in. Did some searching and came to the conclusion of TOB.
NOW, that tranny/clutch is brand new as of 5/21/07. The trans and work I believe had a 6 month warranty on it, and plus since I was in an accident since then, I don't the they would even do the warranty work because they'd probably blame it on the accident. Is there anyway to get to the TOB without dropping the whole tranny, like disconnecting it from the block and its right there? It's getting annoying and apparently it's caused by the inner grease stuff drying up. What should I do here?

To replace the TOB you have to drop the whole tranny.
What clutch did you put in the car? I get a rattling noise from my tranny also, but its because of the clutch I put in it. It doesn't have a pre-dampened hub and so you hear a little bit of gear rattle at idle. When you push the clutch in it goe away because the tranny isin't spinning any more.
Not saying this is your problem but if you have an aftermarket clutch its possible.

It was an OEM spec aftermarket. I forget the brand and I'll have to check receipts. It was 250hp capable. It didn't do it before though. I'll try to get a video of it one of these days.

That sounds like a classic bad TOB. Are you sure it's the clutch?
It's also a general thing to go with OEM TOBs even among the ones with 4G63's. ACT apparently provides an OEM one. I have both in front of me and will be putting the OEM one in. I have heard to many incidences of even the updated plastic sleeved one failing.

Yes I am positive its the clutch. Happens to almost all the cars we have put a clutch in. Any clutch above stock you will get a little bit of gear rattle. This is with a zoom clutch.

I get the same but goes away soon after everything heats up a bit.
