service engine light air flow sensor

recently had engine service on a 96 Taurus. The electrical connector for air flow sensor wasn't reattached; hence, service engine light has come on. Will service engine light shut off after a few cycles now that I've reconnected the air flow sensor or will the computer have to be reset? Thanks for your help.

It will probably reset itself.

As stated it will have to go thru x number of cycles. I can't remember the number.
