2005 TRailblazer thermostat replacement

What has to be removed to replace a thermostat? I can't get to the bottom bolt.

go through driver side wheel well(wheel removed), use a swivel socket or a uni adapter on a regular socket.

did you figure out how to get the thermostat out?
