Hi all,
I have a possible electrical problem with my 94 tempo. While I was driving for 20 miles on the highway the car did fine. When I started stop and go driving the car died. It restarted after it cooled off, but died halfway home.I let it cool off and got it home. I changed the plugs and plug wires, but no change. I am getting fuel to the injectors. It seems to be related to the warming of the engine...I also checked for a spark at the sparkplugs all 4 have a spark. Any help is appreciated..

I had the same problem over the summer, I tracked mine down to the ignition module on the side of the distributor. Cost around $40 and if you know how to mark the timing on the distributor about a 20 minute job.

It it definitly a heat sink problem. I would check ignition coil, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, pickup coil.
If you checked/ replaced these do a wet compression test when the engine is hot to see if you lose compression.
